Some lovely words from our recent steering group
We had a fantastic steering group meeting recently, where Elena, our embedded artist from Crossroads, led us through an artistic activity to help us to think about what the project had meant to us to date. Elena has now tidied up our somewhat abstract thoughts, to create the following verses. We absolutely love it, so hope you do too!
The start.
Green is for optimism, red is for action.
It’s an exciting ambitious opportunity, bold and innovative.
Collaboration between partners,
thoughtful, meaningful and considered.
A great way to inspire change.
Harnessing that fire, mattering to people, anchoring in space and time.
People make Glasgow.
The now.
Blue is for a clear sky, all the opportunities ahead.
Red is for excitement, for urgency, for speed.
Orange is for personality, explosive ideas, activity, celebration.
Challenging power and systems, slower, deeper change.
We’ve struggled occasionally, but have grown together.
Collaboration free flowing like a spring.
The hope.
Green is for the future, for growth of the seeds we’ve planted.
Actions that are grounded.
Brown is for soil, for an embedded project, when you combine many colours.
Food and nature-based solutions, infrastructure and access.
The two-year voyage.
